I Don’t Pay Your Price charts queerfeminist interventions in the video art scene of the 1980s and 1990s. The exhibition zooms in on the subversive act of untangling the video camera from its military-patriarchal origins in order to create space for other perspectives. It brings together works that curator Kat Lawinia Gorska has salvaged, catalogued, and digitized from the hitherto overlooked VHS tapes in the estate of Cologne-based video art distributor 235 Media. Many of videos are now being shown again for the first time in over 40 years.

I Don’t Pay Your Price widmet sich queerfeministischen Interventionen in die Videokunst der 1980er- und 1990er-Jahre. Im Mittelpunkt steht der subversive Akt, die Videokamera ihrem militärisch-patriarchalischen Ursprung zu entreißen, um andere Perspektiven zu ermöglichen. Für das Programm hat Kuratorin Kat Lawinia Gorska lang unbeachtete VHS-Kassetten aus dem Nachlass des Kölner Videokunstvertriebs 235 Media geborgen, erschlossen und digitalisiert. Viele von ihnen werden nun zum ersten Mal nach über 40 Jahren wieder gezeigt.
